Alors., if they had only called the acquisition time t1, the first indirect dimension t2.Abstract : We outline NMR protocols for site-specific mapping and time-resolved monitoring of protein phosphorylation reactions using purified kinases and mammalian cell extracts. Unfortunately, there is not much that we can do about it now. I also wanted to postulate on how this confusion arose. I simply wanted to comment that the confusion between the way the dimensions are numbered and the files/parameters are named extends across brands - well I don't actually know about JEOL and Tecmag. However, that was not the reason for my post. I actually have both Bruker and Varian systems, and I will say that I prefer the Bruker systems - for many reasons that I will not go into here. It's enough that you preserve the template. Whenever you want to write your own posts on this or other topics, I can give you the (shared) ownership of this blog. Cheers -Kirkĭear Kirk, it looks like you prefer Bruker instruments! You know that the purpose of the blog is not to assess which spectrometer is better, but such a discussion would be accepted nonetheless. It would have been a lot easier if they had numbered the dimensions the other way around! :-) With the acquisition period always being t1, the first indirect evolution time as t2 (2D NMR) the next indirect evolution time as t3 (3D NMR) etc. ![]() sw2 is not the width if F2 but is the width in the second indirect dimension. For example sw is always the spectral width in the direct dimension. The same sort if inconsistency exists with Varian parameters as well. Now the files even report a meaningful value for the temperature! However, the parameter editors eda, edp, (which is what the user sees) correctly refer to the directs dimension as F2 (for 2D) for F3 (for 3D) and the documentation refers to it this way as well. This is so you can add another dimension without changing the name of an existing file. Yes, the files are called acqus, for direct dimension and acqus2 for the first indirect dimension, etc. I agree that it used to be worse in the past. The Bruker software that I know stores the f2 parameters into a file called acqus and the f1 parameters into a file called acqu2s. For truly dreadful, awful 2D NMR phasing try VNMRJ The Bruker Software and documantation that I have correctly refers to the direct dimension as f2 and the indirect one as f1. Being this in contrast with the definition, the theorem is demonstrated. > Bruker calls "f2" the indirect dimension and "f1" the direct one. Each time you feel having reached the perfect correction, increase the amplitude factor (= press the plus key). To become a wizard in phase correction, make practice with good-looking, good-behaving spectra. Learn the iNMR mechanism "Extract"-"Repeat" and use it to find the right FT parameters. If you know that a spectrum is phase-sensitive or "echo-antiecho", use the corresponding shuffling along the indirect dimension, but never along the direct one. When you have found the right phase parameters, you can add zero-filling or LP-filling. If you have troubles with the phase correction, use a sine bell shifted by 90 degrees along f2 and a squared sine bell shifted by 90 degrees along f1, and do not use neither LP-filling nor zero-filling. The only exception I remember is represented by Bruker spectra in pure "TPPI" mode, which require "Real FT" only along f1. The only exception I remember is represented by Bruker spectra in "States-TPPI" mode, which require "swap sides" only along f2. In such case, ignore outlier peaks and phase the rest. When the pulse sequence become longer, and if you add a pre-saturation step, phasing all peaks may become impossible. ![]() With the classic NOESY, TOCSY and ROESY experiments it is possible to bring in phase all signal simultaneously. If you get the correct number of peaks in the correct chemical shift order, your parameters are correct. If your FT parameters are wrong, you get all the signals doubled, or they fall at the wrong chemical shift, or both things happen. First thing first: you should determine if yours is a problem of phase or a poor choice of FT parameters. Demonstration of the corollary is left to the reader as an exercise. The dimension with the highest index is called "direct", all others being "indirect".īruker calls "f2" the indirect dimension and "f1" the direct one. It is necessary, therefore, to learn some theory. Processing a 2D spectrum can sometime become a puzzle.

It is proposed that by appreciating the sophistication of normal shoulder function targeted evidence-based rehabilitation strategies for conditions such as subacromial impingement syndrome or shoulder instability can be developed. At the end-range of movement the demand for muscular stability again increases and higher coordination is seen between the deltoid and rotator cuff muscle groups. Stability requirements are lower during the mid-range of elevation. The destabilising force of the deltoid, during the initial stage of shoulder elevation, is balanced by the coordinated activity of the rotator cuff, latissimus dorsi and teres major. Coordination between the deltoid and a functional adducting group comprising the latissimus dorsi and teres major was particularly high (PCC = 0.89) during early shoulder elevation. Significantly higher coordination existed between the rotator cuff and deltoid muscle groups during the initial (Pearson Correlation Coefficient (PCC) = 0.79) and final (PCC = 0.74) stages of shoulder elevation compared to the mid-range (PCC = 0.34) (p = 0.020–0.035). Cross-correlation was used to examine the coordination between different muscles and muscle groups. Electromyography was recorded from 14 shoulder girdle muscles as subjects performed shoulder flexion, scapula plane elevation, abduction and extension. Therefore, the primary aim of the study was to investigate shoulder inter-muscular coordination during different planes of shoulder elevation. While each weapon can be upgraded none feel as powerful as they should. This is a challenging game due to a number of factors. To enjoy Super Turrican 2 you will have to put dedicate some time. Unlike most titles that suffer when switching up play styles all are done incredibly well in this case. There is even a shooting level that pays homage to Axelay with its rolling Mode 7 viewpoint. Some of these like the hover bike, are a bit confusing at first but incredibly fun when you learn the mechanics. The level variety is high as you also pilot a number of vehicles as well. The game does not simply rely on its length to keep you entertained either. ![]() Honestly this is one of the longer pure action titles of that era and I love it. There are five main stages, each split into multiple sections. Super Turrican 2 is longer than its predecessor, fixing that game’s one major flaw. ![]() The game is full of inventive scenarios like this and is better for it. But even that changes as you descend to the ground and hop from sandworm to sandworm. Some of its best moments are reminiscent of Konami’s title, such as hanging from the bottom of an aircraft while fighting enemies. Super Turrican 2 throws you into one set piece after another, each more fantastical than the last. The developers have done an extraordinary job with the change in focus though. I may not have been a fan of the older Turrican titles but the large levels full of secrets is part of what made them unique. Super Turrican 2 trades exploration for all out action in the style of Contra III. Those that were upset about Super Turrican’s scaling back of level exploration will be even more disappointed here. The freeze beam also returns but this time doubles as a grappling hook which sees plenty of use throughout the game. Sadly it isn’t useful and almost feels like it is there out of obligation. The Turrican energy wheel returns but now uses a meter. Homing missiles were carried over from Mega Turrican but other than that there isn’t anything new. the last weapon is a bouncing shot that will somehow also bounce in the air. The machine gun upgrades to a wide beam, the laser will slightly bend to track targets, and the flamethrower….sucks. In terms of mechanics not a whole lot has changed from the first game. Of the many brilliant games in that period Super Turrican 2 flew under the radar. Mind you we were trading solid but generic 2d goodness for terrible 3d experiments that did not age well but I digress.
